Greetings Programs,
Was surfing the system, and found an exclusive comic that came out at the time of Legacy. It gives a little backstory on Bartik, leading up to right before he approaches Castor in the EOL. Here it is:
I remember reading this several years back. It's actually a really great comic that opens his character up considerably, and even links up well with TRON: Uprising, which takes place just before this comic. Definitely worth a read! Good find!

Greetings, System Admin Program. Thanks. IF it was up to me, TRON:Uprising would have continued on independently. That way, we could have some more character history/backstory on the characters whom we really didn't get to know well, as well as learning more about the many other regions, i.e., Bostrum, Arjia, etc. Just my 2 cents.
Also, and please forgive me if this belongs elsewhere-I always wondered this: since Kevin Flynn is a metaphorical Zeus-on Mt. Olympus-character-archetype/Deity/Creator-of-the-Grid, wouldn't he have been able to circumvent the whole, "I couldn't come home, because the portal closed" deal? On that note, wouldn't it have made sense for Kevin to have a backup terminal in the safehouse? While that would go against his "remove oneself from the equation" train of thought, given that his creation CLU 2.0 is turning the Grid upside down, I feel it's always good to have a Plan B. One of a few things I would have done differently-I can dream😉😇

I somewhat see what you mean, but I think he's more like a Norse god, if we're comparing. His powers are potent, but they're mostly with the aspects of the world, not exactly the world itself. That's indicative of his inability to open the portal from the inside.
Also, I've been attempting to continue Tron: Uprising on my own with my own webcomic in the style of artist Robert Valley (the concept and character designer for Uprising) called Tron: Argon that would fill in the hole between Uprising and Legacy.
